Everything is checked on the ground
No guide on this site is written from other people’s articles. Every place covered here has been visited. Every price, fare and entry fee is recorded on site and carries the date it was checked. Where a number is older than one season, the page says so rather than quietly hoping you do not notice.
The photographs are mine
Images on this site are taken by me in the places described, and captions name the month and often the time of day. Where a photograph is not mine, it is credited. Stock imagery is not used to illustrate a place I have written about.
Negative verdicts stay in
Some well-known attractions here are not worth your time or money, and this site says which and why. A guide that likes everything equally is not a guide.
Corrections are public
When something here is wrong it gets fixed and the correction is dated on the page. Nothing is silently edited to look as though it was always right.
What I do not do
- Sell links or accept link insertions into existing posts.
- Accept guest posts.
- Publish anything about a place I have not been.
